| Stopping by for a visit. |
Now frogs aren't all that special around my house. We live within walking distance of a lake. The brown water frogs are quite popular in fact. But this guy is special. He's the first tree frog I've seen outside a museum / zoo. He was just hanging out on that column away from any of the trees. By the next morning he was gone.
The next day, I was out walking my dog and sitting on the roof-line of the garage was a hawk. (Okay I don't know what kind. I can name the songbirds that hang out back but not the hawk.) Now I've seen the hawks flying in the sky above the forest around the lake so he wasn't too much of a surprise. But I've never seen one close enough to see the brown and white chest feathers. Of course he flew off the minute my dog barked so no pictures of him. But it was nice to see the wild neighbors stopping by.
