My hopes for 2012 is the continuing good health of my remaining family. Both my husband and I have lost both parents. Mine have been gone for a few years and his mom has too but we lost my father in law in Feb of this year and it's been very hard on my husband and his sisters.

My hopes for 2012 are for things to settle back to a new normal. My oldest daughter and her family and myself both lost our homes and contents in the EF5 tornado that struck our hometown back in May. She is having to live with her father right now and is also on unpaid leave from work because her 2 1/2 year old daughter had to have major surgery. She has a trach and stomach tube right now so she has to stay home and take care of her. So I hope that this coming year brings good health and the removal of the tubes from my granddaughter and that my daughter can go back to work so they can afford to get their own place to live. This year has been incredibly tough and stressful, but we have been blessed. We made it through the storm, and my granddaughter made it through a 7 hour surgery to reconstruct her throat. She was born at 23 weeks and had to spend 4 months in the NICU. She had massive scar tissue from being intubated so they had to remove and reconstruct. Here's hoping for a happy and safe 2012.
