IWOFA - Summer Breeze Contest

As a writer, I've joined a bunch of groups to network with other authors. One of those groups is the Infinite Worlds of Fantasy Authors. It's a large group of authors who write in the fantasy, science fiction, horror, and paranormal genres.

Right now, we are hosting a summer contest. Check it out here. There are 3 levels - no sex, some sex, and erotic.
Please follow the rules for entry as you visit each author in the category and answer questions. Each participating is offering a prize.

To see the prize I'm offering, check out my contest page. Contest ends at 11:59pm on June 30, 2009.

Stop and Smell the Roses Blog Bouquet

Hi and welcome to The Wild Rose Press author blog day. I’m Beth Caudill and I write paranormal and fantasy short stories. Currently I have three titles available:

Dragon’s Mate – a dragon shifter story set in a medieval landscape
Garden Magic – a contemporary witch story
Informally Yours – a contemporary werewolf story

Join my newsletter or read excerpts at my website. Also for those who may have a kindle, Garden Magic can be downloaded from Amazon in the anthology Rose Petals Volume 2.

I’ve just come back from the beach and wish I could be there all summer. Sunshine, ocean and a gentle breeze are very relaxing. The kids asked to stay for another week and I want to live there all summer. But all good things…Now to survive the summer with two kids with enough energy to run circles around me for hours.

You know I dream about living at the beach, what’s your secret fantasy home? Leave the answer as a comment and tomorrow (Tues. June 23) I’ll pick someone from the responses to receive a pair of earrings pictured below. Remember to leave an email address so I can contact you or check back on Tuesday for the announcement of the winner.

Great Review

One of my fellow The Wild Rose Press authors (Skhye Moncrief - who has a great blog on reference books) just gave me a fantastic review for Garden Magic:

Five Star Review
This is definitely my favorite of Beth Caudill's stories. She led into her story world and delivered the information perfectly. That's quite a feat for worldbuilding. I want to know what happened next!!! Is there another story? ~Skhye

Right now there is no followup story. But with such a great review as incentive maybe I'll come up with one. Thanks Skhye!

I can See!

I can see again. Yeah!

Okay now that that is out of my system. I can drive and watch tv. Gotta wait a few more days before I try to read a book. I can see the big stuff but tiny print is still a little fuzzy. More OJ (for Vitamin C) and resting. I can use the computer too, just not at my normal pace. More like an hour computer use for every 4 hours that pass. (Which is more than the 20 minutes I'd allowed myself the last few days.)

So now that I'm not so bored, what would you do if you had to lie around all day with no TV, Books, or Computer?

(This is the one time I really regretted not being into audio books. I prefer having paper to read rather than listening.)
