Pimping my Books

Last month I participated in an interview on Blog Talk Radio for the Creatures of the Night anthology. I was very nervous and there were technical difficulties. So it was nerve-wracking. The authors ended up calling in on the phone to have their interviews. I'd do it again as a group event. I'm not sure I'm ready for a single person interview. I've never been a good presenter. Christmas To-Do List

It's December. That means there is another set of to-do lists to add to the 'normal' routine.

Clean House and put away toy sets in attic (so I can decorate)
Decorate - Outside
Decorate - Inside
Shop for gifts
Wrap Gifts
Brave the post office and ship gifts to relatives I don't see often
Send Christmas Cards
Go to Christmas Parties
Go to School Christmas events
Volunteer at School to help with Christmas Shop

Sigh, too much to do and not enough time. Right now all the Christmas themed books are coming out. I have no real desire to write one. Why? Because I find this time of year exhausting. I can't imagine writing about it in a fun way. I just don't have it in me. So I wish happy sales to all my writer friends who take this chaotic time and make it entertaining.

Nothing New

I have nothing going on. Well, okay that isn't true. I have lots of school and life stuff going on...but nothing writing related. I'm working on a few stories but everything is just started. Nothing finished so no submissions, nothing coming out...just creative stuff. It's nice but also boring when you need to come up with a topic to write about.

But hey, the holidays are just around the corner. Fun and then the stress of getting caught up after traveling to see family.

Writing heroes and heroines

I've noticed while writing that my words flow faster as I write the male PoV. I don't know why there is a difference, just that I seem to connect better with my heroes.

When I read, I usually imagine myself as the heroine. When writing, I can't do that. The heroine has to make her presence known. Or maybe I still have problems putting myself 'out there' in my writing. Don't know just something to think about.

What about you? Are heroines or heroes harder to write?
